CNN.com - No letup for firefighters in California - July 19, 2004

The bird did not cause the fire, stupid! The wires did. Had the wires not been there, there would have been no fire. Birds do not fly around causing fires.

I do not follow the causality of the reporter's bird fire. This stands as a great example of what our media does to try to reprogram us. Surely, if the report said the wires, probably owned by So. Cal. Edison, had caused the fire, the author would have been fired and sued for libel, regardless of the truth of the conclusion.

Not that I'm some conspiracy theorist, mind you. I'm just interpreting the facts, as reported. And I'm not wrong.
